I’m sure many (are going to) say, “DVD doesn’t look like that,” but please be aware that still pictures of both DVD and Blu-ray will look worse than in motion since movies have motion blur. And since it’s hard to take screencaps of objects keeping extremely still, then motion blur will blur finer details in movies when taking pictures.

I’m starting to like youtube a lot more. More HD please. Bluray also adds a lot more colour to the visuals.

Does anyone know if a Samsung 5.1 Home cinema DVD system can be replaced by a stand alone Bluray player? Or do I have to keep the DVD player and connect a Bluray player to it in order for the 5 speakers to work?
